Competition 2024

WSIMC 2024 – the only competition in Sweden for classical singing. The competition is internationally well known, especially for it’s high artistic level.

Welcome to a seven day long music festival in Norrköping – you can listen to excellent opera singers! The competition days has free entrance.

Prizes & engagements

  • First prize: 150 000 SEK

  • Second prize: 60 000 SEK

  • Third prize: 50 000 SEK "Östgöta prize"

  • Audience´s prize  20 000 SEK

  • Mozart prize  10 000 SEK

  • Stenhammar prize  10 000 SEK  for the best interpretation of Wilhelm Stenhammar songs.

  • According to Swedish fiscal legislation, 15% tax will be deducted from the prize.

    The prize-giving ceremony will be held after the Final Concert and after the Jury meeting. Each prize-winner must be present to receive his/her prize in person.


Engagements

The finalists in the competition can be offered different engagements. The engagements will be added after the competition but one engagement is always offered through the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra.
